It is important for the exterior form of the station, to be widely view-able and be recognizable as such. Besides the total number of available charging stations, the breakthrough of e-mobility also depends on the subjective awareness of the charging stations. The operator always has to have the sense to be provided with an available charging station ("Lighthouse of e-mobility"). In addition, it should have a form that is familiar and accepted. We are convinced that the form and dimension of an advertising pillar will fulfill all above mentioned criteria best. This brings along the advantage of the station, having plenty of room for various functions. An extension with various small satellites will always be possible.
In order to overcome the chicken-egg problem, the charging station must provide more than just a charging station and must be multi-functional in its appearance. This is achieved by the integration of a wind turbine to generate energy. The result is a multi-functional energy pillar and from a business model few an advertisement pillar and optionally vending machine.
